Wow! I’m surprised the crap/hiphop is such a large number.

Older country and western, Western swing, some folk and Appalachian, Older Blues and New Orelans style jazz and zydeco.
Right now I'm listening (and trying to finger-pick) a lot of John Prine, IRis Dement, John Hartford.
Saw Hartford Live and UP CLOSE in a very intiment venue once. My wife has never forgiven me for that night!

Staxx-Volt artists from the 60s: Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Eddie Floyd, the Mar-Keys, Booker T & the MGs.
(That’s also why I like the Blues Brothers - they brought that sound back in the 80s.)

Southern Gospel for me — the old stuff. Not the contemporary junk.

I like Good Music.
And my taste changes with the mood I'm in, and even the time of day.
Classic country, todays country, classic rock, 80’s rock, big band and swing, The crooners and song birds 40’s & 50’s, Jazz, and even modern Hawaiian.
But the true test is my 8-year old son. He hates Rap and hip-hop. Calls it dum-dum music. On his transistor radio he tunes into an oldies rock station. He also found a station that in the evening plays old-time radio shows. When they play The Edgar Bergen Charlie McCarthy show you can hear his excitement from across the house, “Dad, Dad, Charlie McCarthy's on”. Proof the apple does not fall far from the tree.
