The problem is that the definition of “Rock” has changed so much, or more likely, now is so amorphous that it has just disappeared.
The term “Rock Music” now seems to mean “NOT Country/Rap/Classical/etc”. In usage, “Rock Music” seems to have replaced “Pop Music”.
Elvis is usually considered “Rock”, but what about “Love Me Tender” or “Memories”?
The Beatles are icons of “Rock”, but what about “Yesterday”?
Roy Orbison - is he “Rock” or “Country”?
Can you have “Rock” without electric guitar and drums? (including synthesizer equivalents)?
Most fast food restaurants seem to play 60’s thru 80’s music that now might be called “Rock”, but were originally “Pop” (as in “Popular Music”, i.e. most people liked it.)
Now that most of the original Rock Stars are now Geezers, can what they play on their 600th “Round the World Reunion Tour” be called “Geezer Music” or is it still “Rock”?
[In case you can’t tell from the above rant, I’m a Geezer who likes Geezer music. Music with melody, harmony, often tells a story, but sometimes is just a catchy tune. No Metal (heavy or otherwise), no Rap, etc.]

Both kinds: Country and Western. Thats good.
My vote:
Older country like Willie Nelson
Classical music: deviation from that is Metallica with the San Fran orchestra.
Gregorian chants.
Yep, I’m a wierd duck.
