All emergency communications via direct radio communication will be set in the 700MHz range after June 12th. This is being done nationwide at the recommendation of the FCC to better coordinate communication across different communities and emergency responders in the event of a widespread emergency. The use of other devices in this frequency range could hinder emergency communications.

I have an older FCC allocation table, it still has 700Mhz as Broadcast, mobile, and fixed.
Is the 800 Mhz spectrum full? I don't see a reason to move all emergency communications to 700Mhz, but then I get paid to make those decisions.
