I saw one of Carl's last shows in Syracuse with my wife. He sang “God Only Knows” as thank you to all the fans for their Emails and letters of encouragement. I'll be taking that one to my last moments.
Wow. . . .the Wilson brothers left us way too early. Would’ve loved to have seen what Buddy H, Elvis, Richie V and others could’ve accomplished had they lived long, productive lives.
Sorry to disappoint you, but Al wasn’t “with them again.” This was recorded before Carl died and while Al was still in the group. He left after Carl died, admitting that without Carl it was time to call it quits. I mean, come on... The Beach Boys with all THREE of the Wilson brothers absent? That would be like having McCartney and Starr going back on the road with a bunch of back-up musicians calling themselves “The Beatles.”
