I believe the one I heard about was June 26 at St. Louis. Maybe it has been canceled by now also.

Earlier, the tour’s show in Washington, D.C., also had been canceled without explanation. That means three of the eight scheduled shows now are off. The combined tour is to kick off June 8 in Toronto.

Yet More Eagles, Keith Urban, Dixie Chicks Stadium Shows Canceled
Saturday, May 22, 2010

Oh dear. The Eagles rescheduled a Washington state show for June 15 in Pennsylvania but now that show, as well as the one the day before, has been canceled. Both shows were to have featured Keith Urban and the Dixie Chicks.

Recently, the May 13 show was rescheduled for May 26 after Eagles’ bassist Timothy Schmit had to undergo unexpected surgery and there are those who are suggesting the further cancellations are related to this issue as well. However, with 2 tickets setting you back about $400 it is no surprise this tour’s stadium shows are not selling out and poor ticket sales could very well be the real reason for all this. All I know is that I am glad I am not the tour manager who has to deal with this mess...

******

There are tons of speculations swirling around the Internet as to why the shows are being cancelled. One website claims the Philadelphia show was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. Some fans are speculating in online message boards that Dixie Chicks are playing “Divas” on the road and say enough seats aren’t being filled for their opening act slot. While others are saying drug problems for Eagles bassist Timothy Schmit is the reason for the cancellations.

In all of the digging I have done to try to find out the reason behind the cancellations it looks as if no one is pointing the finger at Keith Urban. Who knows why these things happen and some sources say more cancellations may occur.

Dave says:
Blame on this in all likelihood falls on the shoulders of Don Henley. Yes, the same guy who is leading the charge against radio stations with his support of the Performance Tax. The tix were probably priced at $200 because of Henley. Bank on it. Hey Don, in case you didn’t notice we almost got 10% unemployment in this country. Go smoke that fact in the halls of your Beverly Hills mansion. GREEDY SOB.

John Galt says:
Peop-le in Hershey still remember paying huge bucks for a Crosy, Stills, Nash, and Young show a couple years back and walking out as it turned into a political rant. Many won’t pay if the Dixie Chicks are on the bill. Natalie Whatshername is free to her opinions and can yap all she wants, but nobody paying to hear music wants to hear it at a show. Sort of a case of ‘fool me once......’

This is funny (IMO)...

Saturday headliner Taylor Swift ranks among the most popular acts in music, country or otherwise. The current leg of the 20-year-old superstar’s “Fearless” tour is doing massive business. Sales for her sold-out June stop at Gillette Stadium outside Boston far outpaced those for the Eagles/Dixie Chicks/Keith Urban show at the same venue.

And, I LOVE KEITH URBAN’S MUSIC, his concerts are outstanding! It must be the Dixie Chicks! I have no interest in seeing the Eagles either.
