Could it be that BO is punishing those states because they have republican governors?

Recently, Rove addressed this issue on FOX. He said he is convinced they violated federal law when they stepped in to take control of the Katrina aftermath WHEN they couldn't get Blanco and Nagan to do their jobs.

Our problem is we have too darned many laws. No one knows what agency is in charge of what. We have too many environmental laws that hinder common sense solutions.

This is the price we're paying for all these Democrats being in power.

“Esquire has clear evidence showing that the government has flat-out ignored or refused to consider the super-tanker method, in spite of its track-record of resounding success. . . .”

**************************************************

I think Obama has multiple reasons other than rewarding his benefactors. He wants to permanently shut down off-shore drilling. This will further restrict supply as the Leftists have been doing for 40 years. That will run the price of oil up, just like he said he wanted to. Then they can apply a windfall profits tax to those who continue to drill, which will steal huge sums of tax revenue from the private sector. Also, this oil spill is going to financially cripple the South - severely punishing his political opposition. Folks, our country is being shaken down by a Chicago mobster.

The well is damaged and there is not have the technology to stop it without a relief well. The administration was irresponsible when they agreed with your statement about $. Failure to approve the current solution first cost at least 10 million gallons extra to spilled.

I haven’t said that Bush’s response to Katrina was worse than Obama’s to the spill. Far from it. Obama’s response to the oil spill makes Bush’s response to Katrina look like Bob Riley’s.

You said that they had the same type of resposne and that Bush's amounted toa non response, that is incorrect, Bush did everything that He could do, Nagin and Blanco blew it. The federal Govenment does not have the power or ability to react the way that the locals can.

I never said Bush should have been in New Orleans on Monday. However, it would have helped if he had been in say Hattiesburg or Jackson as it came in. What would you have had him do? Seriously grab a shovel and start to move trash? This needed to be done at the local level and Nagin and Balnco blew it. They refused all aid. Legally his hands were tied, now get that through your head.

The media wouild ahve bashed him no matter waht he did.

Incase you haven';t noticed the majority of the media is ..... wait for it.......LIBERAL!!!!!!

BP Embraces Exxon’s Toxic Dispersant, Ignores Safer Alternative
It has been confirmed that the dispersal agent being used by BP and the government is Corexit 9500 , a solvent originally developed by Exxon and now manufactured by Nalco Holding Company of Naperville, IL. Their stock took a sharp jump, up more than 18% at its highest point of the day today, after it was announced that their product is the one being used in the Gulf. Nalco’s CEO, Erik Frywald, expressed their commitment to “helping the people and environment of the Gulf Coast recover as rapidly as possible.” It may be that the best way to help would be to remove their product from the fray. Take a look at some of the facts about Corexit 9500:
A report written by Anita George-Ares and James R. Clark for Exxon Biomedical Sciences, Inc. entitled “Acute Aquatic Toxicity of Three Corexit Products: An Overview “ states that “Corexit 9500, Corexit 9527, and Corexit 9580 have moderate toxicity to early life stages of fish, crustaceans and mollusks (LC50 or EC50 – 1.6 to 100 ppm*). It goes on to say that decreasing water temperatures in lab tests showed decreased toxicity, a lowered uptake of the dispersant. Unfortunately, we’re going to be seeing an increase in temperatures, not a decrease. Amongst the other caveats is that the study is species-specific, that other animals may be more severely affected, silver-sided fish amongst them.

Pay close attention to UChicago Argonne. They control Fermi, as well as other major energy industry connections.

ComED & Exelon are connected to NALCO through UChicago Argonne.
All are connected to Fermilab. That stimulus millions to Lamont is funding all these connections.
They even hire each other’s executives.
ComEd names 2 new outside directors
(Crain’s) — Commonwealth Edison Co. has appointed two new outside board members as the utility continues to seek to distance itself from parent Exelon Corp. in the ongoing controversy in Springfield over future electric rates.
Added to the ComEd board are Edward (Ted) J. Mooney, former CEO of Nalco Holding Co. in Naperville, and Jesse H. Ruiz, partner in the law firm of Gardner Carton & Douglas LLP and chairman of Illinois State Board of Education. The appointments were effective Oct. 16.

I realize that you're having to answer some of the same questions to different people, but I'll go ahead and reply to your comment to me.

Regarding him setting up shop in Hattiesburg or Jackson, the eye of that storm went right in between those two cities on Monday. Winds were right at 100 mph when it passed. That's not a place the President of the United States needs to be if it can be helped. Where do you shelter Air Force One, or the transport jet? (I'm asking because I don't know. I'm not that familiar with the landing strips in those 2 cities.) What happens if the President needs to be evacuated? That's just not a place the president needs to be. Focus needed to be on the storm, not on dealing with the president setting up shop in the middle of the hurricane path.

I would say it is the dems fault that we are so reliant on oil now because they sqaushed all new nuke plants for the last 30 years

Most oil is used for transportation, and no nuke plant is going to replace that.
