We had one that my dad bought in ‘46 or ‘47. Wife and I moved it from Iowa to Missouri to Iowa, up to Minnesota and then to Missouri.
When I was young, we took it with us to Japan (Army brat days) and back.

I don’t think we ever actually used it. I was really big...

I used my mom's up until a few years ago. I bought a new one that is quite a bit beefier than my mom's old one. It has six screw down latches and a metal on metal seal, so no replacing the rubber gasket every few years. I started getting concerned about the old one because the overpressure blow off cap was pretty corroded. If the pressure regulator ever failed I'm not sure the blow off cap would work as intended and I can't get parts for the old one anymore beyond handles and seals. So, it was time for a new one. The new one is awesome and it's American made! I got the pressure cooker from the same place.
