Even just one set of parents can stop things if they are determined enough.
It's been a source of tremendous frustration and anger to parents that public school officials have been selecting increasingly vulgar and offensive plays -- many with blatant homosexual themes -- for students to act in and for the student body to watch. It's a shock that any adults would do this with impressionable kids. Unfortunately, this is a reflection of the types of people who are becoming teachers and administrators and pushing their agenda with impunity.
At Attleboro High School, the drama group was scheduled to perform the one-act play, "The Wedding Story" by Julianne Homokay, last weekend. But when the parents of a 15-year-old girl who was a performer in the play saw what it was, they couldn't believe it.

Enough.
No doubt many of the students will believe the parents are “so, like... intolerant dude”. Others will be quietly grateful.
Mass is starting to wake up. Nice. Maybe they have been under the evil Kennedy spell and it was broken when Teddy left to meet Beelzebub.
It is hard to have any respect for the teaching profession any more.
Homokay?
Bravo
Battle for the souls of America! What once was taboo is almost becoming acceptable everyday debauchery and perversions. To think that property taxes help fund this trash is a double sicko whammy.
That's because they don't teach anymore - they indoctrinate personal and cultural self-destruction while strutting around like thugs wielding politically correct, zero-tolerance, viciously vindictive punishments backed by rank stupidity, cowardice and hypocrisy.

I couldn’t have said it better.
IMHO A 15 year old girl should NOT be playing either the Bride or Reader.
On the issue of whether it should be presented at all I’m torn between supporting the freedom to present a play (any play for that matter) and not exposing children to material that could harm them.
I don’t think there is a clear answer one way or the other, but in a public high school, a “reasonable and prudent” approach should be used in the selection of ALL materials.
When the inmates run the asylum, this is what happens! (supposedly the students selected the play)

Why won't we (collectively) learn this?
Parents want this for their kids? Guess so or many more would be complaining.
School personnel must think they’re being oh so “cutting edge.”
