Yesterday, I was interviewed by a reporter for CBS, for a story on the diverse groups of people supporting Sarah Palin online. The reporter authored a book on Palin last year, after being embedded with her vice presidential campaign, following a stint covering Mittens Romney. I cant imagine how many cucumbers-and-mayonnaise sandwiches this guy had to eat on the Romney Express (to nowhere), but I gave him the same kind of awed respect I grant anyone whos ever spent more than half an hour with Tim Pawlenty and didnt succumb to T-Paw induced narcolepsy.
We (the reporter and I, not Tim Pawlenty or Mittens) met up at Nookies Tree in Boystown and talked about Sarah Palin over coffee. Doing enough of these interviews over the course of the last few years, and being interviewed by some great people like Andrea Shea King and Tammy Bruce, I can usually spot the story the reporter wants to tell by the way his questions unfold and what he keeps coming back to whenever I take the conversation on one of my tangents about how terrible the current administration is. The story CBS wants to do on Palins supporters appears to be something in the realm of an unthinking, personal, and emotional defense of a woman they love. Its not a negative story, and the reporter doesnt seem like the kind who would write a hit piece, on either Palin herself or on me as a Palin-supporter, but the impression I got from him was that hes projecting the Lefts Obama cult of personality onto Palin supporters when nothing could be further from the truth.
Most of the questions asked of me were in the vein of how I felt whenever Palin was attacked, and what makes me defend her.

Two years ago I would’ve said that could work. Today, I don’t think so.
Hot about exposing Mitt as the suck-up RINO that he is.
“Mitt Romneys main strategy in the GOP primaries of 2012 is to hammer Sarah Palin as a quitter.”
Whatever. The 2012 election will simply be a referendum on Obama, as much as the Dems would like it to be on other things.
Likewise, the 2012 Republican Primary will simply be a referendum on Palin. It is up to Palin to convince the CONSERVATIVES that she’s for real, if she wants to win. She has done some flaky things lately, but she has plenty of time to recover and show that she REALLY stands with us.
Well let’s see:
Romneycare was a model for Obamcare. Nuff said.
That he would destroy a good prospect in the effort shows him to be a self-serving criminal.
Yes, you are 100% correct. However the Republicans must have a candidate who can also win because I do not believe that any Republican nominee can win against Obama even if we have more mess in 2012 than what we are having now.
A related article just popped up at C4P:

Uhhhh who quit in the middle of the last presidential primaries.... hmmmmmm
Mitt boy, your a joke and a POS
Romney has no chance of ever being elected POTUS, and the lefties, RINO’s and MSM know this. The left and MSM, more or less one and the same, desperately want Romney to be the Republican nominee as they know he has zero chance of winning the general election.
Mitt's main problem is that he's "too cute by half." The energy on the right is from the Tea Party, and they greatly distrust politicians like Mitt.
Mitt, Newt, and Huck should just save their time and money. I see a Christie/Jindal ticket in 2012.
Romney is the next Christ, you can take that to the bank.
People like him are only out for their own personal gain and to hell wit the rest of the country.
He’s the kind of guy who would think it would be fine to him for 0bama to win again if he couldn’t be President.
FUmitt.
LLS
At the rate they're losing viewers/readers, the MSM will be a dead man walking by 2012.
Maybe she is a quitter. I’d still vote for her every single time over an unprincipled RINO like Romney. Sorry Mitt, but you suck.
It is easy for Romney with his bottomless pit of money to criticize Palin. But....In my opinion, given the numerous friviolous lawsuits against Palin she did the only sensible thing possible.
Ok...Now I will read the article.
Mitt..go crawl back under a rock.
The last thing that Republicans need is another McCain. Have plenty of doubts about Palin, but Romney should be shown the way to the door marked “EXIT”. There are other Republicans in the presidential field, and worrying about name recognition as this point is an unforgivably stupid thing to do.
