FReeper "Retired Intelligence Officer" noted last night that C-Span has a piece on the press conference which shows several flags behind him and on the podium. HOWEVER, the photo is from ANOTHER day (note the different colored tie: gray with re stripes vs solid blue), and so was probably taken from their archives. Perhaps they didn't have a photo from the actual press conference when they put up the piece.

Of course...these pictures are in the press room. The press conference was in a much larger room.

There are usually flags in the press room, even when Obama speaks.

I noted that there were a lot of pictures of Obama with the flags. I don’t know. Maybe these pictures just aren’t wide enough and the flag is there. That pic of Obama was wide angle and it clearly was not there.
