No, actually I like Palin. The problem I’ve having is with many of her supporters, who have trouble with anything resembling complex thought. Her supporters seem to be teaching Palin that Palin can please her supporters by telling her supporters stories in the simplest manner possible. The story she told on Tuesday left out huge chunks of relevant detail. The most simple-minded of her supporters immediately called McGinniss a stalker, did not think about the details of Palin’s story at all, and immediately asked “how can we get McGinniss.” Other supporters of Palin, I’m thinking mostly of myself, did challenge the story, because the first think that jumped out at me was “how did McGinniss get that house?” Sarah can play to her base, who does not question anything she says, or can try to broaden her base to include people who will look at her story to determine whether it makes sense. I prefer Palin to Mitt Gingabee by a wide margin, but being called a Palin hater by pointing out problems with her story could drive me and others like me away.

Well, back on Tuesday, when I argued against 50 or so Palin supporters and was proven right, I suggested that McGinniss might be there as a friend. I believe that is the unlikely answer, but cannot be ruled out entirely. Perhaps things are not what they seem.

But, let’s stick with the assumption that McGinniss is enemy. So you’re saying that Palin gets along really well with the neighbor who rented to enemy? I think not.
