Once upon a time, there was a television show about a bunch of people on an island. For six years it was one of the most fascinating things on TV. And then it ended, in the worst way possible.
Lost ended tonight, and with it the hopes and dreams of millions of people who thought it might finally get good again. SPOILER ALERT: It didn't. What did we learn? Nothing. We learned nothing from two-and-a-half hours of slow-motion [expletive deleted by Mod] backed with a syrupy soundtrack.
Everyone loves to see characters who haven't been around for a while, right? Juliet! Where have you been? Shannon! Long time since you were around, irritating all of us and ruining Sayid. But good to see you, I guess! Rose and Bernard! Nice beard, bro! And Vincent! The goddamn dog! There you are, doing dog stuff. How great is it to get all these characters back? Not very great at all, as it turns out.
I am a huge Lost fan and loved the ending. I will miss my weekly Lost fix. The show portrayed the classic battle between good and evil, free will, redemption and forgiveness. Those that didn’t find it entertaining were free to turn the channel.
Turns out the creators did have the ending all along, but most likely their story should have ended a year ago.
Tonight’s episode was lovely and a fitting finale to a splendid show. Everything happened. Nothing was a dream. And time is relative, especially time in heaven.
Amen.
I thought the series ending was awesome, never missed a single show, the ending was pretty good I thought.
I hear ya. I never could get into it in the first season, so I quit watching. Glad I did.
In fact, I don’t really get into any shows now days. I try to watch Survivor, but even that is about losers back stabbing and kicking off the best so that they can get $1 million dollars.
Last episode of 24 should be good based on the teasers. And based on the fact that the suspense has been building. The plot is outrageously silly, but the suspense has been some of the best TV ever done.
I watched every season of 24 until they hired Janeane Garofalo.
Was she on this year’s show?
I didn’t watch the first half of this season but I don’t think I saw her in the second half. I don’t remember vomiting on my TV but maybe she showed up and my gag reflex just failed to kick in. But I don’t think so.
Not that this show didn’t have its amazing stupidities even without the WhoreAwfulla. They went on and on for several episodes moaning and weeping about the loss of the “peace process” and never (I mean as in never, not Jack, not any of them) mentioning that in the process they saved a minimum of 150,000 American lives. But again, the suspense aspect of the show has gotten so good that I forgive them their trek into liberal la-la AlternatePrinciplesLand.
LOL, beats me, I wasn't a fan of the show!
2. It represented life. Ups, downs, statics, dynamics and never wrapped up with a big red bow. "Closure" is the Oprahfication of America.
3. It was a TV show.
I bet no one swallowed a SIM card.
I missed it, what happened?
I enjoyed watching Lost and I am glad it is over.
Or Yanni......
So disappointed, they wimped out 100%.
Why wasn’t Walt and Michael at the church?
I never watched one episode of Lost but I do have a question. How is it that after six years marooned on an island, the guy in your pic never lost ONE pound? He’s the same size now as he was when the plane crashed.
Or Mr. Eko...
Purgatory? No Way... there’s no palm trees in Colorado.
I guess his metabolism is way slow.
What I didn’t understand is what was up with Ben. Why didn’t he join the others in the church? He had to be dead also, otherwise he wouldn’t have been able to see them.
