It’s worth making an effort to find a strong conservative candidate, because the Dem, Hall, is a complete and total idiot...unable to speak a cogent or coherent sentence..probably way to many dead brain cells from all his time on tour in his previous life..In a sea change election, the district could flip. It was reliably GOP for many years..then the Westchester burbs became more Dem as all the libs moved out of the mess they had made of Manhattan..Also, when the Clintons moved to Chappaqua, in 2000, the lower part was redistricted in Nita Lowey’s district, so that Slick’s congressman ( then Sue Loewy) would not be someone who voted to impeach him...The problem in NY State, is that it will lose one, probably two CD in the next redistricting, so even if the GOP manages to pick up a seat this time out..it will be redistricted out of existence next election..
I’m looking at the state Senate races and it is hopeful that New York Republicans will take back control in the Senate. In that instance Senate Repubs have a say in redistricting.
