The General Assembly of the United Nations passed a resolution today harshly condemning the U.S. State of Arizona for continuing the forced repatriation of Mexican nationals back to Mexico. Previously the UN had declared undocumented immigrants to the U.S. “economically displaced persons” and as such, they were protected by international law. The UN threatened further unspecified sanctions and the indictment of Arizona Governor Jan Brewer at the World Court of the Hague, Netherlands. The UN has denounced the legal deportations as, “ethnic cleansing”, an international hate crime. Newly sworn in President Sarah Palin responded to the UN actions by threatening to cut off all US funding for the International Body and removing it from US soil permanently.
