Didn’t John Kerry spend a few days in Viet Nam?

Yup, actually about 3 months, while the rest of us served a full year. He got to An Thoi about the second week of Nov '68. I missed him by 2 1/2 weeks as I can best figure. I was there from late Oct '67 to late Oct '68 and trained on his boat (#94) or the #10 boat ....can't recall for sure. (must be getting old!)

I was in a support unit and not regular crew. (maintenance and repair) Trained and occasionally filled in as a backup boat engineer. Exciting times to say the least.

BTW, he doesn't attend Swift Boat Sailors' Reunions. He's not very highly regarded there, to say the least
