Not an attorney in sight. Originally, Orly Taitz said she'd be there, then recently Phil Berg was supposed to deliver the opening remarks, according to Manning, but neither Taitz nor Berg ever showed, and no explanation was given.
Manning also says he subpoenad a host of federal officials, including Obama, but since none of them agreed to testify, he wants people to come to court wearing masks representing them. One person showed up at the parade with a Condoleeza Rice mask. Quite entertaining.
It's a circus. Manning predicted 30,000 people would show. He had about 50-60 for his "march around Columbia," and another couple of dozen that showed up at the church, but many of these are members of his congregation, so he fell a bit short on his grandiose predictions, as all these opportunists do.
The so-called evidence being presented is about the thousandth rehash of all the unproved allegations about Obama. If you've read Orly Taitz' "dossiers," or her voluminous court filings, or a fraction of the thousands of FR threads discussing them, you've seen 'em all.
Eeek. AND Pastor Manning says Obama is a member of the Taliban. AND that he was in the CIA and his Columbia attendance was a cover. I love a good conspiracy theory, but this seems like a bit much. ;)
Even Orly Taitz knows that appearing at the trial would damage her reputation, such as it is. The birther spokesperson he scrambled to bring in has nothing to lose.
