War is always troubling, but these lines from the movie ‘Open Range’ sum things up best:

Mack: “It’s a shame what this town has come to.”
Charley: “You could do something about it.”
Mack: “What? We’re freighters. Ralph here’s a shopkeeper.”
Charley: “You’re men ain’t you?”
Mack: “I didn’t raise my boys just to see them killed.”
Charley: “Well you may not know this, but there’s things that gnaw on a man worse than dying.”

Having the flag of my country, a flag that men and women have fought under for two hundred years to bring freedom to so many called racist and offensive is just one of the things that are ‘gnawing’ on me.

I am reminded of the movie “The Patriot” and Mel Gibson argues before his fellow colonists against war. I tried to find it on Google but couldn't locate it.

War is a terrible thing and I pray that we can peacefully restore our Constitution.
