I'm used to seeing that posted as if it came from some secret communist meeting.
Exactly!
I see an interview with the named parents and a picture of the student's drawing. I hear reports of what an unnamed teacher said but no interview with the teacher or any school official.
It is time to know the people who are offended by asking God to bless the nation. This is especially true when they are teaching the nation's youth. A teacher should not be saying something in the classroom they can't say in front of the parents. Bring them into the light.
From Investor's Business Daily (IBD), August 27, 2008:
"Ayers, now a tenured distinguished professor of education at UIC, works to educate teachers in socialist revolutionary ideology, urging that it be passed on to impressionable students.
One of Ayer's descriptions for a course called 'Improving Learning Environments' says prospective K-12 teachers need to 'be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and ... be a teacher capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, teaching for social justice and liberation.
The Annenberg papers are quite extensive 132 boxes containing 947 file folders with 70 linear feet of material. They undoubtedly contain more surprises regarding Obama's relationship with Ayers, one of many relationships Obama has sought to hide.'..."

Trouble is, with leftists, all that gets us is a kick in the teeth. They get everything that they want, and tell us to go to h*ll. So, like you, I'm about fed up with it. As loathe as I am to adopt their tactics, maybe it is time to take a page from their playbook, and repay them in kind. Just throw it back in their ugly faces. I got into it over the weekend with an Obamaphile who said I was not being "respectful" to "our" President. I said I'd be as respectful to HIS President as the liberals were to George Bush, and who could refuse a deal like that? For some reason, that shut him up.
'Guilty as hell, free as a birdAmerica is a great country,' he [Ayers] said."

"It was at the Chicago home of [Bill] Ayers and [Bernardine] Dohrn that Obama, then an up-and-coming 'community organizer,' had his political coming out party in 1995. Not content with this rite of passage in Lefty World where unrepentant terrorists are regarded as progressive luminaries, still working 'only to educate' both Obamas tended to the relationship with the Ayers."

Saga continues in Morgan Hill.. Slapping down American flag....”Occupied Mexico”...”This is all our country...we are all Mexicans”...”We want respect”....”Si Se Puede”...
Si Se Puede = “Yes We Can”. Sound familiar?
If that teacher is offended by the American Flag, then that teacher should also be offendded by our American tax dollars and should resign immediately.
“Sí se puede”, English translation:
Sí se puede is usually translated in English as “yes, we can”, or “yes you can”.[4] The more literal translation that the United Farm Workers uses is “Yes, it can be done!”[5][6]
President Barack Obama adopted the English version “Yes, we can!” first during the 2004 Illinois Democratic primary race for U.S. Senate,[7] and it became a slogan of his 2008 presidential campaign.
“Yes, we can!” was the theme of Sen. Obama’s speech following his second-place finish in the 2008 New Hampshire primary.[8]
Following the speech Obama was endorsed by the Culinary Workers Union in the Nevada Democratic Caucus,[9] though it is important to note that news of the endorsement had already been circulating prior to this speech.[10] The phrase was also used in the song “Yes We Can”, which was performed by numerous celebrities in support of Obama.[11]
Another video created in support of Obama’s 2008 presidential bid, entitled Sí Se Puede Cambiar written and performed by Andres Useche and directed by Eric Byler was released on YouTube on February 22, 2008.

I’m not a father yet, but when we decide to have kids, I will save every dime and cut spending where I can to have my kids either home schooled or private schooled. This BS in our public schools is completely out of hand!
This teacher has the power to destroy the student’s marks as revenge and affect her future academic advancement, scholarships, choice of universities, opportunity of better mate selection and more. She should be transfered to a better atmosphere. The teacher should be transferred to Mexico
Correct me if I am wrong, but did I not see many of the Bro’s
wearing Obama T-Shirts with that phrase?
Sorry, McGavin....it’s already rotten from the inside out. It’s a failed experiment & no one should experiment with their children. The days of trying to change it from the Board level (which has no affect on collective bargaining agreements) passed long ago. We aren’t simply in a cycle.
You are correct. To the Obamunists "Yes We Can" meant to "Change"/"fundamentally transform" the US to a Marxist nation. To the millions of dupes and dopes who voted for him, it simply meant defeat the eviiil Republicans and win the election.

You will find that homeschooling is not as expensive as one would think.
I know families who have two working parents who also homeschool. It’s a matter of splitting shifts and getting everyone involved.
Remember, PS has to do 180 days, Monday through Friday from 8 to 3. We have all week, 24/7 to school. In my house, Dad covers Math so most of it is in the evenings. We are moving away from a History curriculum to reading books and watching DVDs (we just got Mark Levin’s Illustrated Gettysburg Address and do a lot of “Drive Thru History”). Next year we are doing Saxon Algebra (hard copy book), language arts and Latin on a DimDim conference with a teacher, Science by another mom who is a certified Science teacher and orchestra with a huge homeschool group. That’s it.
My girls sleep until 10 and are finished with schooling by 2:00. Our biggest expense is hands on Homeschooling trips. We are going to Toronto and the Harry Potter Exhibition at the end of the week. (literature lesson - lol)
We camp to make it cheaper.
AND you don’t have to buy school lunches nor school clothes. They school in their pjs or sweats. No pricey snacks, no fundraisers, no supplies that are shared with the whole class. I did PS for almost two years. Never again.
Once you have those babies, the thought of someone taking them for six hours a day will be horrible.
We’re going to try, for sure. I really want to and will work diligently to maintain our household while the wife works with the kids. I love the idea, and frankly, I think it’s the best way to go. No agendas except our own, and our kids learn at their own pace.
>>Sorry, McGavin....its already rotten from the inside out. Its a failed experiment & no one should experiment with their children. The days of trying to change it from the Board level (which has no affect on collective bargaining agreements) passed long ago. We arent simply in a cycle.<<
I actually agree with McGavin. What a great Civics lesson for our kids! Take them to school board meetings, get out the vote, do all that McGavin says, BUT educate your kids at home.
Then when the schools change (if they do) work to keep them that way. If we wait for change, we lose a generation. I’m not going to take that risk with my own children.
Good for you!
There is a huge homeschooling group here on FR. Everyone will give you support.
My older daughter (who was pegged as ADD) is two years ahead and starting community college at 14. The younger one is three years ahead. Learning at their own pace is the biggest plus!
The risk to children IS government schools...and we have lost a generation already. However, I understand the thought...it’s the same mentality as those who stay with their liberal, social justice, unbiblical mainline church because they’re just sure they can turn it around. It doesn’t (and hasn’t...and won’t) work that way...
