Who has a better chance in the general against Toomey?
Probably Sestak.
Toomey leads both of them.
Bad news - he’s much harder to beat than Specter.
Toomey is +8.8% on Sestak and +6.5% on Specter. RCP has PA as a Likely Pick Up. It’s Toomeys to lose.
To watch this idiot get defeated is worth it
We need to end the me me me generation in Washington.
Repeal the 17 th Amendment, end the Kennedy seat syndrome, give power back to the states.
That’s great news!
I guess Aelen Sphincter will now become a proud independent so he can “continue to work for the people of Pennsylavania.”
Gosh! Maybe Specter should quit the Rats, and join the Republicans?
No.
Specter is a moron. He had the lead and then went all negative with his TV ads against Sestak. They had the effect of making Specter look petty and desperate. Horrible strategy.
This is before Sestak becomes the nominee. I have lived in Pa for over 20 years now. The voters here are clueless.
Sestak will have much less money than Specter and he has a much more liberal record. Sestak will siphon more DSCC resources than Specter.
Specter also has a stronger infrastructure and organization across PA.
My own sense is that Toomey would have an easier time defeating Sestak than Specter.
Specter’s defeat might also lead to further House Dem retirements.
this is what comes to mind...
"Arlen, old pal, now that you're a Democrat, you better read the cue cards
correctly. You vote wrong, pal, and it could get real ugly. Rahm and Reid
might even get out the whip."
I am from Pennsylvania and have not heard a peep from him lately. In order to win PA, he MUST be on TV every night.
