Well written. I don’t know enough about the races to know whether I will agree, but the article seems to be very informative.

We also don`t like her endorsing a leftist wanna be like Juan McLame, she`s only digging herself deeper into that liberal hole she seems to want to be in. But hey, if you`re comfortable,go there and dig in.

It’s a simple political calculation, who can win, giving the Republicans another vote for majority leader.

Frankly I haven’t known a lot about this particular issue but one thing I do know, if you don’t win you can’t affect policy and Sarah is supporting the best chance to get rid of Boxer without simply replacing her with a liberal with a R after his name.

Sarah has the guts to take a stand and this makes a lot of sense.

Sarah did the correct thing. The smart thing. But let’s not pretend about Fiorina. Fiorina sucks. But we can’t have a pro-jihad liberal republican win. We can’t abide another 6 year of Boxer. If Fiorina wins she’ll sicken us numerous times. But that is still light-years better than Campbell or Boxer.

I sent money to DeVore. But he’s just not cutting it. He does not have a realistic shot at winning. His candidacy is splitting the conservative vote which could result in Campbell winning the primary.

And there’s hope that a President Palin can lead Fiorina and other weak-kneed republicans on the right path.

So Palin picked Carley out of expediency?

Dang, and I thought we wanted conservatism.

Still not liking Palin’s decision. Fiorina is rolling in the mud with 25% of the polling vote, which means 75% of Republicans are not satisfied with her. A lot of votes are still up for grabs and turnout is the key. This being a primary race, DeVore is close enough to pulling an upset...and I believe his supporters to be more likely to vote. Who knows, with Palin’s support, maybe that would’ve been enough to put him over the top.

You present a good, common sense analysis of Palin's endorsement. Many conservatives want to see in Sarah some kind of ideal conservative, but she doesn't always live up to expectations. She is who she is.
Also, many seem to think it a given that she will run for POTUS in '12. She might, but I would bet against it. She knows her limitations.

Something I think she could accomplish is to establish residency in a state where she could run for US Senator with a reasonable chance of winning. Maybe Idaho, where she has roots. But I'm no better at reading her mind than those who want her to play the role of Political Messiah.

I am certain of only one thing. Sarah Palin will be on the political scene for a long time. She has the war chest to do what she wants, and she is about 20 years younger that Hillary, whom we should never dismiss lightly.

Some conservatives are angry at Governor Palin's endorsement ...Nobody's saying Carly is the 2nd coming of Thatcher.

extremely well written and I grudgingly agree with the gist of many of your points. I vehemently disagree with the statements above which sound like they were written by some NE RINO. "Some" conservatives are angry? How about all of them are angry? "2nd coming of Thatcher"? Phoney strawman ploy that insults the intelligence of FReepers. Just be honest and say a RINO is better than a liberal and leave it at that.

Well said!

Update by Sarah on her Facebook page:
Update: I’d like to add a few things about my Carly endorsement because some reaction right out of the chute calls for more information:

Carly has been endorsed by the National Right to Life, the California Pro-Life Council, and the Susan B. Anthony List. She is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, pro-military, and pro-strict border security and against amnesty.

She is against Obamacare and will vote to repeal it and prevent the government takeover of private companies and industries. Carly is also a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Like me, she is a member of the NRA, has a 100% NRA rating, and she and her husband are gun owners.

She is pro-energy development and believes as I do in an all-of-the-above approach to energy independence. She is against cap and tax. And most importantly, Carly is the only conservative in the race who can beat Barbara Boxer. That’s no RINO. That’s a winner.

l. Because, when the going gets tough, she is a rino.

2. She is impressed with Carly’s fawning over Van Jones and his water melon agenda.

3. She is a globalist at heart and wants more limo liberal globalists in the Congress in the Senate to push through the NWO.

4. She thinks the biddies from Maine need some company.

5. She feels sorry for twinkletoes Graham’s isolation.

6. She has no standards and any Republican will do at this point.

7. She does not really have a well read and anchored understanding of politics and society. Just another pretty face that can pray.

8. The global government is to be capitalist!
