In fact, it is federal law that no flag shall be flown higher than the flag of the United States. This kid’s got the law on his side as far as taking it down. Throwing it away might be perceived as destruction of private property or vandalism, but I’d take that case.

For what it's worth:
In response to recent media and news coverage focusing on a Mexican flag being flown inappropriately on campus, Klein ISD and Klein Collins High School have issued the following statement:
Response to Inaccurate Allegations
Neither the Klein Independent School District nor any of its campuses has flown another countrys or states flag on a pole outside of its facilities.
Neither the Klein Independent School District nor any of its campuses has flown the American flag upside down.
Neither the Klein Independent School District nor any of its campuses has displayed another countrys or states flag in a manner that would dishonor or disrespect the American flag or the Texas state flag.
As part of a student activity, permission was granted for students to display some decorations for Cinco de Mayo which included the Mexican flag that was placed on a railing in the school. This activity was never meant to dishonor or show disrespect to our country or our state or our flags.
It is unfortunate that one persons misinformation has caused such a disruption for our students. The facts are as stated above.
Along with a curriculum rich in diversity, we strive to instill the value of patriotism in our student body. With your continued support Klein ISD is confident that we can move beyond these inaccurate allegations and continue to work together in the best interest of our community.

De-Fund communist public schools.

He shouldn’t have thrown the flag away as it belonged to someone else, but he’s otherwise a great American Patriot! His mother should be proud. I know I am for her.

Generation Z is not consumed with guilt. Any kid that goes to a “diverse” school witnesses and understands the difference in treatment by the time they are in middle school.

When did it become acceptable to punish Americans for being proud of the American flag? This is insanity. What the heck is wrong with this country? There were also the boys in California sent home for wearing flag t-shirts on Cinco de Mayo.

In a way, these things have a larger good, in that they are waking in vast sums of Americans who are not activated yet, but who will be on OUR side. So I chalk these up as additional, widespread PR diasaters for the Amnesty, Si Se Puede side. Just like they screwed the pooch when in their first demonstrations they all had Mexican flags. They caught on REAL SOON that it was damaging their cause greatly, and suddenly their leaders sent out flyers in Spanish "not to fly or wear foreign flags but wrap yourselves in American flags". It was the most dishonest, laughable, phoney imagery yet--all these illiterate uncomfortable looking day laborers who cannot speak a word of English--waving all these American flags at rallies...and yet coming from their ars plastered with Mexican flags. You KNOW what their loyalty is, to Mexico, and even citizenship for them would not make them "Americans" anymore than these native born "Americans" with Mexican flags are Americans in their hearts. Who is fooling whom here?HOW ABJECTLY DISHONEST I thought at the time!
This will only damage their cause at this critical time even further. THese stories need to go viral...if there are photos, all the better. Send them to fence sitting and apolitical friends of yours. Nine out of ten Americans (over a certain age that is) will be PISSED!

Nine out of ten Americans (over a certain age that is) will be PISSED!I am over that certain age and definitely pissed, plus I live in Texas. I used to refuse to shop at stores that had bilingual signage. Well, it didn't take too many years before I realized I'd have to learn to live without groceries if I didn't give in. Same for everything else down here. I'm amazed TexDOT hasn't put up Spanish traffic signs yet. They have a huge sense of ownership and entitlement. They expect every place they go to have an interpreter. And guess what? They get it! Capitalism at work means businesses are going to cater to them because they are an economic force that can't be ignored. They flaunt their presence because they know nobody is going to do anything about it.

I guess I must be really out of the loop. Why is an American school flying a Mexican flag, anyway?

Thanks Federalist Patriot.
...a Texas high school student who took down a Mexican Flag in his school "because it was displayed higher" than the American Flag on "Cinco de Mayo." He then threw the flag away.
