DeVore Spokesman Attacks Palin as "Sheepdog"
C4P ^ | 06 MAY 2010 | C4P

I was intrigued when I saw this Tweet from Carly Fiorina:

Hmm, sounds like Team DeVore just called Palin a Sheepdog... Generating fake outrage over endorsement #casen

...so I decided to check out the reaction of Chuck DeVore's campaign team to Governor Palin's endorsement of Carly Fiorina in the California Senate primary. And yes, they did indeed send out a press release using that terminology.

This grassroots movement is actually a grassroots movement. Carly Fiorina thinks she can find the sheepdog to corral the sheep.

Here's the problem with Team DeVore's assessment of Tea Party support for their candidate - a March Field Poll of California voters found that Tea Party sympathizers actually break for Carly Fiorina more than Chuck DeVore.

I also wish Sarah had backed DeVore, but for him to go after her like this is stupid.

Another spot on post with reality to this campaign.

Also, DeVore again goes into child like mode.
Proves he is not Senator material.
We are dealing with life and death issues and don’t
want a child in that position.

DeVore has gone into Palin bashing mode and
another 4 year old moment.

Just why he isn’t Senator material

DeVore has just lose any chase he had of winning. The quickest way to make Palin supporter forget the Fiorina thing is to go after Sarah. Sarah smoke out another one!!!!

Devore evidently was not the best shot to beat Tom Campbell, he was never even in the running, and with this petty meltdown against Palin, he has lost some of us that were rooting for him.

Palin and the rest of the California right is desperate to stop Tom Campbell first before we worry about Boxer, with weeks to go, Carly has the money and the numbers to stand a good chance of doing that.

Palin can actually help some in the Carly vs Campbell battle, nothing could be done to make Devore suddenly make up a consistent 20 point deficit to knock out Campbell, but Carly has the money and position to close a 4 to 7 point gap with Palin's help, especially if Devore drops out in a week or two.

Sarah simply made a strategic, pragmatic decision here and went with the candidate who meets the minimum standards of conservatism and who has the money to defeat Boxer.

That's what I like about Palin, she is a pragmatist, not an ideologue.

Clearly he didn’t see the grace JD Hayworth had when asked of Palin’s endorsement of McCain. Says lots about JD, but even more about DeVore.

You are correct rintense.
This isn’t the first time DeVore had a melt down.
Don’t want a person like that making National and International decisions

“Clearly he didn’t see the grace JD Hayworth had when asked of Palin’s endorsement of McCain. Says lots about JD, but even more about DeVore.”

My thoughts exactly. Devore has shot himself hin both feet. He has with one stupid statement reduced his caucus to Palin-hating conservatives, which amount ot about 16 California voters. This is better for Fiorina than if he had just withdrawn.
