We can't deport them. Any "comprehensive immigration" bill should include a couple of sensible principles.
1. Any person who is in this country illegally will never be eligible for citizenship, under any circumstances.
2. Social services and assistance programs are available to only American citizens.
3. Voting rights will never be extended to any non-citizen.
4. Employers in America must obtain citizenship documents or lawful visa documents from every employee.
5. Social Security Administration must contact the employer if a submitted SS number is already being used by another employer.
6. Every ineligible employee will be arrested and imprisoned until deported.
7. Employers who fail to notify ICE of ineligible employees will be fined $50,000 per incident.

To the radical left, the immigration fight is about nothing else but additional voters. Among all provisions, those now here illegally should never receive that right.

I think deportation should mainly be used when LEOs already have the people, i.e., they’ve been arrested for something. There’s no need for a grand plan to hunt down / round up illegal immigrants. The real key to reducing the illegal population is to make it so difficult and unpleasant for them to live here that they will choose to leave.
