We were very lucky. First, the bomb did not go off, due to the terrorist’s incompetence, not the vigilance of the authorities. Next, the authorities missed a trove of the terrorist's documents when they searched his former residence: a local reporter found them . Finally, the FBI lost track of him and damn near let him escape.
I don't count on the FBI getting any information from this guy: they will be too busy ensuring that his creature comforts are attended to. Fortunately, it appears the Pakistanis have nabbed a few of his associates. They know how to conduct an interrogation and we may actually learn something about the plot from them.
