Actually, Pakistan *is* the Middle East. Turkey, Egypt, etc., constitute the Near East, but idiot Western journalists call even all of North Africa the Middle East.
The Near East: Turkey and the Ottoman territories in the Balkans
Middle East: The Levant through to Persia
Far East: Burma and points east.
India is large enough to be in a class of its own.
