You are dead on! The biggest obstacle to the Palin presidency that would be so valuable to America is the opposition of RNC leadership and conservative supporters of other aspiring candidates.
Sarah Palin herself has pointed the way. What we need is vigorous primaries, focused on what each candidate is for. Save the attacks till after the primary and focus it on the progressive democratic opposition.
So far Palin hasn’t put a foot wrong. More importantly, she hasn’t pulled a punch for fear of being un-PC.
True.
The Democrats behavior was predictable, and so a Limbaugh moment that it was hilarious (ditto the behavior of the news pukes). But what was startlingly illuminating was the behavior of Perots Bush opposition: snarky; lacking in substantive argument; so like Democrat behavior, at least in kind if not in degree, as to be indistinguishable.
If Sarah chooses to run we may expect the same behavior to again emerge from certain Republicans more interested in their own political benefit than the principles that are supposed to be the primary engine driving the Republican Party. In The process surely we will learn for whom to vote and for whom not. It may even develop that Sarahs greatest contribution will be to have helped us to separate the phonies from the real things (the Gold Plates from the Solid Golds). Expect some surprises. ( ^: }
