Senator Arlen Specter's (D-Pennsylvania) political career may be over even before the November mid-term elections. The death blow to his almost 30 years in the US Senate could come from a Democratic primary challenger because Senator Specter foolishly decided to make the race for the party's nomination about honor and he may just come up short.

I notice the blog has an Obama like logo.
Watch for Snarlin’ Arlen to decide that the people of PA want him to run as an independent.
Here’s hoping that the “victor” manages to snatch ignominious defeat from the jaws of regular defeat this November.
Well, it’s round and contains the national colors. Other than that, not so much.
So how does this blog lean politically?
He’s emblematic of most politicians. It’s all about them. We will not survive and prosper as a nation until we do away with elected office as a career. Arlen should have been out working, like everyone else, a long, long time ago. We are being run into the ground as a nation by the equivalent of a college fraternity.
Certainly not pro-Obama.
That's as absurd as Obama making a political race about patriotism (which I suspect Sarah is going to do to him in 2012). Specter has as little honor as Obama has patriotism.
Judging from the logo, I would say Left.
Specter/ Honor?

They should be paid minimum wage, with no retirement, medical (except while in session) and housed in dormitories. They NEED to feel as if they would be better off at home running a business, setting aside money for their own usage. IOW, if they stay in DC making stupid laws all the time, they end up broke and pension-less. Maybe we could pay them for destroying pages of laws and regulations. There has just gotta be a way to condense these things into a few hundred pages instead of millions of them.
Spector/Crist or Crist/Spector......
