I hope the Republican candidate in the general election race is taking notes.

Republicans simply do not fight with the weapons and means they have available, apparently preferring to remain “gentlemanly”.

See where that got George W. Bush. (Erstwhile supporter of Arlen Specter for re-election in 2004)

Arlen, you have, justly or unjustly, assured your old-age security. Go home and enjoy it.
