Delay Will Cause Major Environmental Damage, Administration Engaged in Their Own Damage Control
In a calculated political gamble designed to ensure maximum advantage of a crisis, Barack Obama ensured the worst environmental disaster on US territory since the Exxon Valdez. When the TransOcean rig caught fire on 20 April and exploded three hours later, the Obama Administration should have been in response mode. Instead, it wasnt until 30 April that anyone arrived in Southern Louisiana and then it was only because the political gamble threatened a lot more coastline than originally thought. The second phase of the political gamble has already begun, ABC News devoted a whole four pages to the story ripe with brow furrowed concern and the beginnings of the blame game. But no where in the four page story does it mention the reason for the week delay in responding. By failing to respond in a timely manner, Barack Obama has ensured the worst environmental disaster in the lower 48 since Webster first aired on TV.

i’m curious about something and would appreciate any help finding the answer. how much time did the alphabet networks give to the people who were killed as compared to the amount of time given to the “environmental disaster” and the otters who are imperiled by that spill?
LOL, silly me..
Whoa! Another rig!
Don’t kid yourself. This oil spill is manna from heaven for Zero. He wants maximum damage so he can shut down all off-shore drilling.
Does the ban extend to all the other nations coming in to fill the drilling vacuum in the Gulf? I didn’t think so...
It wasn’t pumping oil. The well had been capped by a cement slurry. This rig was being shut down.
The supply boats standing by you saw with their fire cannon did it. Not the rig.
You have to have a catastrophe or a crisis before you are able to come in a save the planet by banning future drilling. It is very convenienct timing of this accident(?) and dthe govt response. somehow we must blame this on George Bush.
It just pours out of me like soot from a coal-fired power plant! I am all "wee-weed up"!
We may never know for sure, but did Rahm and Obama delay to make the crisis worse? In other words, did they want to see a huge oil spill off the coast, to convince everyone of the dangers of offshore drilling?
And we know they never let a crisis go to waste. This event plays right into the the hands of the enviro-extremists, who have a sympathetic president in Obama.
10 days before the Obama administration did anything.
Yep, Obama’s LIHOP moment..
All of that puts the U.S. in a position that war for oil or
complete economic collapse will be our only choices.
You can't frustrate every source of domestic energy
without consequences. Our enemies will blackmail us
to the extent that we are vulnerable to blackmail.
0bama, the Democrats and RINOs are leading us into a real war for oil.
A war we won't have the energy to fight.
A war we don't need to fight because we have our own resources.
Some “expert” on FOX this morning said that there had to be many warning signs and blamed BP for lack of vigilance.
More time on the otters. Why would they care about the rig pigs? They are just men.
As a Jewess in the US, I believe the platform was sunk by a North Korean Stealth Torpedo, the 2nd test of the same type that they used to take out the South Korean Navy ship last month.
What does being a Jewess have to do with your assumption? I’m just curious..
