Absolutely, but Jackson was only able to go on because of Horseshoe bend in that war. He bestowed the title of ‘Major’ to Ridge, and claimed to be his friend. His friend was $$$ and power. Not unlike, Obama.

I’m not at all sure that Jackson was more corrupt than the average president. Anyhow, I do get the point of your piece. It was well made.
But I will always be an partial fan of this warrior.
Don’t know if you’ve read any books on him, but one I read some years ago was quite excellent. Warts and all, but you ended up with some respect for this larger than life figure.
