...here’s my version, FWIW:

Obama Senior arrived in the US in what year we do not know, he wrote to his family in Kenya and told them he was working for an oil company and had married a woman named ANNA TOUT, when the letter arrived, someone who could read in the village, read the letter out to the family, and the name TOUT became TOOT...it’s phonetic. There was no connection between the Dunhams and the name TOUT or TOOT. But the contents of the letters that Obama Senior wrote home to Kenya, over time, became common knowledge in the village. So that when Kezia said, ‘he married ANNA TOOT’ she was simply repeating what everyone knew...

Came time to write the mythology. ANNA and TOOT had to be woven into the narrative. Stanley Ann, who was NEVER known as anything BUT Stanley Ann, or the nickname Stanney, as attested by several of her Mercer Island classmates...was given the name ANN or ANNA, and Madelyn was given the nickname TOOT, ‘because’ isn’t TUT an abbreviation of grandmother in Hawaiian?

(is that right, BIGLOOK?)

ANNA TOUT might have been the woman O Senior married in the US, if he married anybody...but IMO he never married Stanley Ann Dunham. He arrived in Hawaii in 1959 from goodness knows where, and it seems Stanley Ann Dunham was at that time in Chicago.

Tutu means Grandma (or maybe Grandpa?).

Aloha Fred!

In Hawaii the honorific for grandma is Tutu. It's phonetically simple for little kids (keiki) to manage in their early years......and it sticks. But it's doubtful that it's pronunciation derived from the Hawaiian language since there is no T consonant. The word for grandmother is Kuku wahine, the 'Tutu' prounciation is most likely Samoan or Tahitian.

On another thread it was suggested Stanley Ann’s father was furious..and would not give permission to marry Obama Sr...she came up with the name Anna Toot..to hide the marriage and pregnancy from her father..the father may had authority to remove Obama from school and Hawaii. Hence the name change.

We know birth the announcement.. a Mrs and Mr. Obama is in the newspaper..we don’t know if it is valid..

“Time heals all wounds.”

Show me a wedding photo. Is there a wedding announcement citing Stanley Ann D.?

This what happens when we do not have a natural born citizen as president. Chaos. The Founders wanted to avoid.

What name is on the vault birth certificate. Where was Obama born and who is his mother.

We post tons of information regarding Obama..but nothing happens..Obama and Holder must know this.

I think everything about the family is a lie - including the stuff about the Dunhams being Stanley Ann’s parents. If you look at photo analysis of the family pictures - there’s a lot of hinky stuff going on. None of these people are who they present themselves to be - of that I am absolutely certain.

I may be late to the party on this thread, but judging from the various comments here a lot of folks seem to be assuming that Obama Sr. is the daddy. I just can’t get past the fact that Zero does NOT look like Sr.

Now I definitely think Zero does have a Dunham chin. So if Anna Toot or TOUT or whatever the hell her name is has a chin that resembles the rest of the Dunhams, I’ll buy that.

But Obama Sr.? No way.

This statement is probably true, “IMO he never married Stanley Ann Dunham.”

Obama’s birth name was other than Obama. That’s why all his early records are missing.

I believe the 1971 Christmas visit was when Obama entered the picture.

In disfavor in Kenya, his mentor assassinated, an attempt was made on Obama Sr.’s life. Drinking heavily, he was undoubtedly in need of money.

The Dunham’s flew him half way around the world, before deregulation, a very expensive proposition. It is known that the Dunham’s paid for his expenses and put him up in an apartment in the building where they lived. They also provided him with running-around money.

Obama Sr. spent most of his time drinking with his old “snack bar” buddies — featuring Neil Abercrombie, the only person on the planet to claims to have seen Anna and Senior together.

Senior described the purpose of trip as, “family business.”

I believe the “family business” was to prepare the documentation to provide provenance for Barry Soetoro so he would be able to qualify for the Punahou scholarship that he received.

I believe Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. was paid off by the Dunham’s to provide the provenance that produced Barack Hussein Obama II.

Hi Fred, very curious where you came up with TOUT (instead of just toot)? is this from other research? or is it just a wild guess? I found this (see below) today and am on the anna toot search kick for a while. So am very interested if there really is a different spelling and where you found that. Thanks.

"a story Barack Obama gave to a newspaper "The Nation" of Niarobi Kenya, on 15 Aug 2004. While visiting there with his family he spoke to John Oywa, a reporter for The Nation, and the result was: "Kenya: Special Report: Sleepy Little Village Where Obama Traces His own Roots". In that article he says his mother was Anna Toot."
