GM lied?! Our administration lied?! Why is anyone surprised?
I bought a Toyota last October. I wanted to buy a Ford, but they are built by the UAW. I would not consider any Government Motors product.

Why would anyone buy a government motors anything at this time?
GM is a proxy for war against the non-union foreign car companies. See what they are doing to Toyota?
I feel like I’m living in the TV series, “V”.
I am a hardcore Chevy guy. Always have been, after my experiences with Ford, Chrysler and Toyota.
That said, I will NOT buy another Chevy until the company has been liberated from the clutches of obama and the UAW goons that have been placed in the upper echelons of that company.
GM got a sweetheart deal from the government.
No 2 ways about it.
And they got that sweetheart deal at the expense of the American taxpayers.
BTW my Mercedes was made in Alabama by non-union labor.
I will never, ever, buy a GM. So this boycott works for me. Of course when the government mandates I buy one of their cars that runs on unicorn pee. What am i going to do?!
I haven’t owned a GM car since 1984 (appropriate?). Rented a few, which was good enough to convince me not to buy one.
I guess that means I’m in year 27 of my boycott of Government Motors.
I have been buying American for the last 10-15 years. I don’t care if its union or nonunion as long as its an American company headquartered in the good old USA.
The last decent GM product I ever owned was a 1986 Buick Century I had throughout high school and college. Great car, but the other one (a Pontiac) as well as the used Saturn I currently own, as well as a Ford Taurus, have convinced me that buying American cars for the sake of buying American cars is a waste of money and time. The only decent car since the Buick has been a Scion (Toyota). Unfortunately, that one got totaled in a wreck.
I wouldn’t buy a new GM on a bet.
Harry Reid’s New Car!
Sen. Reid goes to a local GM dealer in Washington, D.C. with the intention of buying a brand new vehicle. Harry looks around and finds one he likes.
After going back and forth with the salesman, Harry settles on a price of $45,000.
Harry and the salesman go back to the office to complete the paperwork. Harry works out a 4-year payment plan, and signs on the bottom line
The salesman shakes Harry’s hand and says, “Thanks Senator Reid, the car will be ready for pickup in 4 years.”
Harry says, “What are you talking about? Where are the keys to my new car?”
The salesman replies, “No, you don’t understand Senator. You make payments for 4 years... THEN we give you the car. You know, just like your health plan”.
Harry, with a choking voice, says to the salesman, “But that’s not fair”.
And the salesman says, without any doubt or embarrassment: NO SHIT.....
I own a ‘93 Silverado. My next purchase won’t give any money to Government Motors.
I’ve always purchased American cars, still have a ‘92 GM that we purchased new, but I think when we get our next car, I’ll be looking at Nisson.
