I was answering posts on two busy threads, and got mixed up about which thread I saw that posted on.

Glad I could help you find what you were looking for.

I have learned not to speak with nor even make eye contact with any sort of cop; federal, state or local.

Nothing good can ever come of that.

I understand where you're coming from. During my teenage years, I was pulled over and harassed by the police nearly every time my car left the driveway.

In my adult life, nearly every interaction I've had with government agents (federal, state, and local) has had a negative outcome, or slant to it.

Most normal folks avoid contact with government, for good reason. It almost always winds up as a negative experience for the citizen.

It wasn't supposed to be this way. Our government was instituted by The People, to be their servant, but humans are susceptible to some pretty horrible base tendencies. One of those is the abuse of power, which if unchecked, grows into an institutionalized culture, such as we see today.

"The Tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

In today's high-tech world, I guess we call that a "re-set". Same thing. We need to get back to basics in this country.

Carry on.

I'm 58 and I'm tired.

I can still snipe, but even those days are numbered.

Well, I'm 57 in a couple of months, so I'm not far behind you. I can relate to being "tired", but I've still got enough spit and vinegar in me to put up a fight.

Peace, brother.
