Thanks. Is Russian and Polish very similar? I know they’re both Slavic.
Polish and Russian are both Slavic. Some words are similar but most of words, pronunciation and accent are different. Polish language: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_language Russian language: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_language
Thanks, alto.
I’m Russian and yes, Russian and Polish are similar. but there are ONLY Russian speech I can hear on this video. This is “Davayte hahui otsyuda!” and “Vse nazad!” - smth like “Get fuc*ing out from here!” and “Get back!” in English. Most probably these are voices of policemen, shooing away the looters and shooting in the air. The operator twice say in Russian something like that: “Oh my fuc*ing dear!”.
I’d say they are about as similar to each other as German and Dutch or perhaps English and Dutch.

Here is a version of the video with the stuff made much better visible in close-ups.

Here, you can read several transcriptions and translations of the voices in the video and some discussion on them.
Is there any way to translate the vid? Thanks!
Most likely police are firing shots to scare away spectators and people searching the wreckage for survivors
What do you mean by that? (In the discussion below the video, you can read several translations.)
BTW, the author of the video seems to be alive and healthy :) - http://wolnemedia.net/?p=21311
Thanks! I didn’t notice as I was just headed to bed.
