What’s most interesting to me in that year-and-a-half-old article is that Malek puts Haley Barbour in the third spot, even way back then. Because what I picked up from the MSNBC clip is how close it sounds Malek is to Barbour, and it was reported that Barbour hosted a day-long confab in MS with his close supporters just this week to talk about his possible presidential run. I think Barbour’s got Malek tied up for now at least.

Nice catch.
A few things that caught my attention in that article:
“
South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, who is popular among fiscal conservatives, ranked second on Maleks list. Sanford recently attended a dinner with major GOP donors at Maleks McLean, Va., home
-snip-
At No. 5, Malek lists a group of four moderate Republicans who are eying Senate races: Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, former New York Gov. George Pataki, Illinois Congressman Mark Kirk and Delaware Congressman Mike Castle”
-snip-
Palin, who ranked sixth on Maleks list.. Sanford at # 2, then Crist and Mark Kirk at # 5, before Sarah Palin, at # 6 on Maleks list?
Malek doesn't seem to have much of a clue when it ciomes to picking the GOP candidate for 2012 does he? His second pick, Mark Sanford proceeded to self destruct before our very eyes, not long after Malik picked him as the second most likely to win the GOP nomination in 2012. And who in their right minds, would pick Mark Kirk before Sarah Palin in any GOP candidate rankings for 2012?

Since when is an unknown greasy sociopath a "Kingmaker?" We could solve the oil shortage by squeezing this slimeball's head in an olive press.
