In you world the shepherd stays home and prays that GOD will stop the wolves from killing his sheep. In mine the shepherd prays to GOD to give him the strength and the crourage to take-up the staff and go out an protect them.

**********************************

In your world, this is a Christian Nation, but God lets sin and lukewarmness in the church go unpunished. Good luck fighting against God.

Again, read the Old Testament. It is all about sin among believers COMPELLING God to raise up enemies, like ours.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14

Think this does not apply?

I have armed myself as instructed:

He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. Luke 22:36

I plan to defend my family and loved ones as instructed:

If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and
especially for his immediate family, he has
denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
1 Timothy 5:8

I plan to stand and take warning and protect the innocent when the enemy comes:

“Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come,
and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and
took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not
warned; if the sword come, and take [any] person from among them, he is taken away in his
iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.” Ezekiel 33:4

I praise GOD for giving me the strength and the courage to stand against my enemy.

Blessed be the LORD my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: Psalm 144:1

And as a servant of the Lord I am prepare to battle evildoers:

For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Romans 13:4

And in the end should the Lord call me home I will know:

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. 2 Timothy 4:7
