Ok, I fully agree with all those measures. But I don’t see any possibility of them occurring in the current and medium term. Hell, we had the President, and both houses of congress and NOTHING along those lines was done. I expect at least some IRS reform under Pres. Bush and we didn’t even get that.
Sadly..I agree with you on that.
But, I believe we will have to see a complete collapse of the present system here first before anything would be done. Then comes the question, what about civil unrest?
It would take a great president and strong congress to even attempt it.
Oh and one other thing. And dont feel I looking for an out and out fight with you on this because I am not and am sorry if I am coming across that way..But.
The way I would do it..instead of tariffs I would simply implement the safety standards on China’s goods the way we require for goods manufactured in this country. Now think on it. They would not be able to sell much at all here.
I would say.. “So Sorry. Chinese goods are full of lead and mercury and this and that. so clean up your act and you may be able to sell here again.”
