You have the mind of a child. What you have cited is an “abstract”. Short form birth certificates are “abstracts”. Just as when you buy a house you have a deed and also an “abstarct of title / deed” (and if you don’t have an abstract of title/ deed” then you will have a difficult time selling your house.

Before you post an “abstract” next time look up the definition in the dictionary.

We want a certified copy of the orginal birth record. I have a copy of mine and if I want another certified copy I can walk into the Lucas State Building in Des Moines,Iowa and demand another certified copy of my orginal birth record. The cost is $10 US Dollars.

Thanks.

I may have the mind of a child but I can read. The writing above the signature says:

“I CERTIFY THIS IS A TRUE COPY OR ABSTRACT OF THE RECORD ON FILE IN THE HAWAII STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.”

A true copy or abstract

how do you read that, Smith ?
