I haven’t been able to keep up with the reports today, so I’m not sure. If I see an answer I’ll ping you...
MI5 is UK domestic you must mean MI6
NM Previous post... I understand now. Will still ping if I hear more. I hope to have time tomorrow (Monday) to sift back through some of the articles. I think the only thing that is clear is that there will probably be a number of conflicting reports in the immediate future in regards to this event.
I recall you from the OU stadium threads. Did you catch the odd statement out of Russia, that the passengers’ cell phones were “no longer working?” That one stuck out, I thought.
Sounds as though you’re making a little ping list for this crash. Could you add me?
Thank you !
The wreckage was spread over 1/2 mile and burned. But they managed to account for all of the cell phones first. Is Russia a great country or not?
Quite a few articles stated that the plane had an overhaul etc in Dec 09 in Russia.
It’s just an odd thing to say. How do they know? Why is it even important? It’s a backhanded way of saying no one was able to make a call from the plane, a la Flight 93, is how it immediately came across to me.
Hi there! Remember you as well.
Yep, caught that one “loud and clear” you might say... I think that was out of Poland though, and not Russia (the report that they couldn’t be reached).
I remarked on a thread on Saturday that you’d think at least one phone would still be working (in a suitcase - thrown in the explosion, etc...). And, even if they weren’t working would they not go to voicemail? The Russians could have been jamming signals to prevent perhaps secondary attacks, just in case, but it still is strange.
[I wonder if tomorrow we will see something mentioned about the phones again — yesterday night I said something here on a thread about the fuel being dumped/not being dumped, and it was mentioned again today! LOL Maybe we’ll hear the “official” story tomorrow on the phones. :)]
I haven’t been able to keep up with the coverage today (Sunday), and don’t know if I’ll be able to spend much time on it tomorrow (one of my daughter’s birthdays is tomorrow). I hope to at least get to read through some stuff I have bookmarked, and get through all my pings tomorrow though! LOL
Nice talking to you. Feel free to ping me if you see anything else that sticks out to you. :)
Of course...how do you think Obama got Putin to agree to anything...green light on this from us.
6 mos Czech leadership falls...
shocker the two countries wanting the missle shield...
Unbelievable - you just can’t make this stuff up!
Don’t think I’ll have time to do that with this, LJ — otherwise I would. I just pulled names off a thread yesterday. Tell you what though — if tomorrow I have more time and decide to put one together I’ll be sure to add you! LOL :)
I can confirm reading that information as well in an article that is definitely linked to one of a few threads I was on yesterday... Somewhere in Russia that starts with an “A”, but I can’t remember where beyond that. Don’t know if it was a town name, or a company name.
I should say that as I sit here and think about it I could probably do a very limited ping list for this. I’ll think more about it in the morning, and let you/others know if I do.
“Im hoping we will get some facts in the days to come.”
Don’t hold your breath - what facts come out will be tailored to fit the Russian’s agenda.
Thanks, don’t take extra trouble remembering my name. Life’s short....
I remember the letter “A” in connection with the plane checkup/updating etc., too.
Freepmail coming your way.
seems to be the case. still though, the pilot (if he wasn’t a moron) should have been able to put it down IMO. I’d like to hear the radio comms during the event. Tower should have had him on radar talking him in, the NDB should have had him lined up, and i find it hard to believe he didn’t have an approach plate in the cockpit. They said they diverted him off after 2 approaches right? I’d like to know what was going on during those approaches. This sounds like one terrible pilot in the cockpit, where’d they get this guy?
Yes. Russian built, Russian maintained & now to be investigated by—Russians led by Putin.
LOL, good one ...
