Sam, in addition to what I posted in # 56 you are doing something else that is toxic for conservatives - insisting on the perfect candidate. What is perfect for you is not perfect for us all. You are allowing perfect to be an enemy of good and that is no help in overturning this Communist takeover.

Constantly picking at what you call a defect in a candidate gives encouragement to liberal trolls on FR. They pick up on that and keep pounding on it.

You are not lone of those are you?

Again, it’s not perfection. I don’t think that’s the measure here.

It’s a certain bare-minimum loyalty to conservative principles.

When Palin calls McCain a good conservative she isn’t just playing fast-and-loose with those principles, she’s telling an outright lie, a lie that she herself knows is a lie.

All I know is I’ve hated John McCain far longer than I’ve liked Sarah Palin. She’s a good voice for our side, especially on Fox... but she’s no longer my choice for presidential candidate in 2012.

I want someone who says what they believe... and what they believe has to make sense.

It’s nonsensical to believe (or to say) that John McCain is a conservative. We have a nonsensical president now; I don’t want another.
