Sniper Sought in Vehicle Shootings on SoCal Freeways

RIVERSIDE — Authorities are searching for a sniper who has been shooting at vehicles along freeways in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
More than two dozen vehicles have been targeted over the past few weeks.
At least six vehicles were struck Thursday along the 15, 10 and 215 freeways in the Riverside, San Bernardino and Rancho Cucamonga areas, according to CHP Officer Andrew Thompson.
In each case, the rear windows were shot out with “an unknown projectile — probably a BB or a pellet,” he said.
