I’m glad you said something, I had no idea.

We were going to have our new pup chipped, after doing a search we aren’t going to now!

Chipping causes cancer in pets...

Do you have a source for that? There is no radio frequency energy (or energy from any other portion of the electromagnetic spectrum for that matter) emitted from these devices except during the brief period of time that they are actually being scanned, and even then the energy emitted from them is miniscule -- way less than a cell phone gives off.

I do not understand how they could possibly cause cancer, nor have I ever heard of an instance in which they were implicated.

Nonetheless, I could be wrong about that, so if you have a source, I would love to see it.

I'm an advocate of RFID devices...in pets. I personally know of several instances where pets have been returned to their owners because they were implanted with the devices.

It's a very bad idea for humans. The potential for abuse would be enormous, and there would be those who could not (nor would they want to) avoid the temptation to abuse them.

How can that possibly be? The chip is totally inert till activated by a transponder, the RF energy from which would be there whether the person or animal is chipped or not.
