Please fill Murtha’s seat with a Republican.

But often we made stupid mistakes in Penn - like Arlen Specter!

The big change has been in the Philly suburbs, which have been trending Democratic since the late 80s, but over the past two years have seen the largest increase in GOP registration of any region of the state (per Michael Barone). He who wins Montco/Delaware/Bucks/Chester wins the state, especially if turnout is high elsewhere in the "T."

Yes, voter fraud in Filthadelphia is a problem, but what really killed the GOP in national elections was the shift of the suburban counties to the Dems. Since Obama is not a "New Democrat" like Clinton, many of the ditzy haus fraus appear to be waking up.

I just heard, during Rush, that it’s happening in West Virgina too. More Dems going Repub than vice versa based on absentee ballots.

Yeah, yeah. How many election cycles have they been claiming that Republicans might just, maybe, by a whisker, carry Pennsylvania? We might have enough juice to replace Arlen Specter & Eddie Rendell, but I remain skeptical as to the broader trends.

Cautionary Note: These are Rhino areas. Don't expect the Philadelphia 'burbs to vote for a real conservative unless the Dems completely implode.

Oh, no! Obama must go there and correct the misconceptions. (Please do!)

It is very unlikely ANY democrat will win a statewide office this fall, and if they do it will be a minor office, governor and senator will be Republican.

The only real chance we have is to take back the House and Senate. This would slow down the our current communists Administration and would have a chance to hold off more conversions until 2012. Even if we can do this it will take many years to recover because of the millions of new freeloaders that are paid to vote.

Could someone, anyone, please explain to me Murtha's district? Is there some kind of IQ lowering drug in the water? How in the world can that race be a tossup?

While visiting in Florida recently, I talked with a woman who lives in a distant suburb of Philadelphia and commutes into Philly by bus. Along the way, the bus picks up a lot of black commuters. She says the black commuters — people who actually have jobs— have now flipped to the anti-Obama side, wondering just who is this guy who took over their country.

It must have pained the red-diaper doper-babies at Quinnipiac deeply to present this information. I’m certain they struggled mightily to spin and twist the questions to avoid this outcome.

I live in that district. My small borough is on the fringe of it and there are approximately 900 residents who live there. Murtha received 15 votes in the last election.

I think many of the smaller municipalities voted that way but he carried Johnstown and Altoona for all the pork he got them over the years. They’re living in the past there and don’t see the big picture.

Correction, it was Ohio that’s drifting Republican.
