I’m 59 and he is spot on. I have often said we need a law called “The Individual and Corporate Responsibility Law”, where people and companies get the living S%$T fined out of them if they fail to do their jobs responsibly and with competence. Imagine:
1. Teenage pregnant women - want food - identify the father or starve. If you are the father, support the kids or starve.
2. You work in customer service? Solve the customer’s problem in 3 call or less or go to jail.
3. You work in construction? Get the thing done within budget and on time or go to jail.
4. You sell food? Make it fresh and wholesome or go to jail.
5. You are an elected politician? Follow the Constitution and your oath of office or go to jail.
In short, do your FU%^&Ng job well or go to jail. The libs have created an entire society where everyone thinks that just showing up is doing your job.
Who is going to pay for all the jails? You sound like a big spending conservative..:)
I think there are also a LOT of really hard-working, non-whining Americans out there. Watch some episodes of “Undercover Boss” (airs on Sunday evenings) to see what I mean. Regular people are quite oftentimes amazing with regard to how hard they work and how cheerfully they do it.
All that going to jail is not necessary. Just a good application of the free market, rather than a free lunch, will do the job. After all, no one is going to buy stale and unwholesome food, if their are alternatives, and with a free market, there always are. The “or starve” is the way of the free market, but very few actually choose to starve, since even “werk” is better than that.
But I would agree with number 5, to a point. I’d say “follow the Constitution and your oath, or starve”, since few politicians can actually do anything useful that someone would pay them for and if put out on the street, they would indeed starve.
