Idk..
Sorry-—couldn’t resist. :-)
I use the shorthand when I am texting. I do not tweet. I stick to the English language in the real world.
So Twitter forces you to write like a spastic ten year old?
Gosh, I really am missing out then. Who wouldn't want that?
I’m Ahmad Kashani, author of the famed tweet about how the
“totalitarianist polices are pelting us with alive chickens”.
You ain’t missin’ nuthin’.
You get 148 letters? What did you expect? Perfection burns up way too many characters. This is about the maximum you can send.
I am amazed with the popularity of such limited communications in a society with access to high bandwidth networks. I am more amazed by those that are not on such limited networks think that the rest of us should communicate in the same limited way. I do most of my FReeping these days on a BlackBerry Storm. It is not that hard to provide clear, complete text even without a full keyboard.
You get bonus points for catching humblegunner.
This ain’t a tweet, write in complete english or go where tweet, whatever that is, is acceptable!
I was impressed back in the eighties when touch screens first came out! Stuff now is just mind boggling to what is available, and the speeds they operate at.
HA! I appreciate that.
When I was young, my mom used to task me with proofreading her student’s papers. Now that I am an adult, it’s as though I cannot help but notice the spelling errors we all make!
LOL!
I agree with you there.
Some friends asked me to sign up for Twitter a while back. I gave up after a while; I don’t really see the benefit in posting tweets myself. I am far too verbose to be limited to 140 characters!
I can see where it might be useful for following local and or sports news, though.
*Sigh.* What are we going to do with you? ;-)
I find it necessary to keep an eye on him, mostly for the entertainment value.
