At the same time everybody in Afghanistan is Moslem ~ officially.
All your neighbors believe you're Moslem anyway.
Then, when you get to America you start planting family ashes in a stone circle in the front yard, painting eyeballs on the eve of the home facing the street, or posting a mezuzah (Hebrew: מְזוּזָה "doorpost") on the doorpost at the front of your house.
Best one I've seen is really Ice Age ~ you mark the bounds of your property with stones at the corners, and make sure you mark the entry with two special stones. There are people of European descent who also do that ~ these are NOT fences.
Nestorian Christianity blew through Afghanistan once, as did Zen Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism. Judaism also passed up and down the Silk Road for centuries.
Afghans have all agreed to claim they are Moslems so no one questions them regarding whatever else they do.
The Taliban are not part of the deal and that makes them particularly dangerous.
