Fox News' Brit Hume Calls Obama Administration Economically Illiterate

Remember when Brit Hume hosted Special Report up to 2008, before handing the reins to then heir-apparent Bret Baier? Remember how Hume was always careful to be the epitome of "fair and balanced," serving as a newscaster who wouldn't get into biases with regards to what story he was covering? Well, thankfully, now as Fox News' senior political analyst, Hume is no longer bound by those restrictions and so can let criticism fly with wild abandon. And let it fly he did on Fox News Sunday when he tore into the Obama Administration for being marked by "economic illiteracy!" Going further, Hume also mocked the total lack of private sector experience of Obama and the members of his administration! With the unemployment rate still stuck at nearly 10% and many new hires being temporary, government jobs, Hume was 100% correct.

Anyone at Free Republic already knew Obama was an economic illiterate.

Obamalamadingdong can only be viewed as an "economic illiterate" if you believe that his intentions and policies are designed to help the country prosper. They obviously are not and the events of the past year go well beyond incompetence. It is quite clear by every single action he has taken since he was selected to be POTUS has been designed to sink the economy and the country to depths not seen since the 1930's in order to foster chaos and fear. By creating a chaotic situation, fraught with fear, it makes ushering in a Marxist/Fascist society much easier to accomplish. American citizens, including Hume, have got to get over this notion that Obama has the best intentions for our nation in his goals. He obviously does not have a prosperous America in mind. This is not economic illiteracy at work here. His coordinated actions go well beyond economic illiteracy. It should be obvious by now that this is all planned to achieve the outcome we are witnessing. Frankly, at this point I cannot fathom why so many people still believe otherwise after witnessing the events of the past year.

>> Why did Brit Hume leave? <<

He’s 66 years old and probably wants to enjoy retirement, which I believe he spends mostly upon his rural estate — located at the hamlet of HUME, Virginia. Speaking for myself as a recent retiree, I don’t blame him one bit!

Also, Brit’s previous position was Chief of FNC’s Washington Bureau, a job that probably involved too many managerial tasks. Again, I wouldn’t blame him for wanting to escape those burdens.

The Obama administration’s economic illiteracy is based on a belief that a socialist command economy works. They are putting our country firmly on “the road to serfdom”.

Absolutely, he is largely ignorant of history. He visits places like Norway and Sweden and sees them as great successes. He rides in driven cars, stays in posh hotels and eats as the elites do. He knows nothing of the depressing nature of the real way of life in those countries. He doesn't pay $8 for a gallon of gas, ride on dirty trains and busses and pay $4 for a can of coke. And even if he were witness to all this, he would consider it a good way of life because the people are controlled by way of limiting their economic freedom. People like Obama despise consumption for us little people and socialist countries make consumption prohibitively expensive.

Obama sez our current economic trouble was caused by we the people and our various governments and administrations spending money they didn’t have, so he and his administration will help our current economic trouble by borrowing and spending even more dollars.
