Interesting assumption that a 24 yr old would have the experience to be your boss, when perhaps, you have served in a position for more years than he/she has. That tells me more about you than it does the 24 yr old.
I included in my comments the “exception to the rule” factor. I always allow for individual abilities and attributes.
You are missing the point here. It is the entitlement mentality, instant gratification, the “I deserve to be in that position” ideology. No one deserves to be anywhere that training, experience, personal traits and work ethic doesn’t come into place. And, I think most people would agree, that College and Technical training is the beginning of a long journey into the job market.
You have to “pay your dues” and learn your trade or skills. As an employer, I can tell you that it means a lot to me and if you aren’t willing to put forth the effort and gain the experience, you will never succeed.
Kissing ass??? LOL Whatever....
It is the entitlement mentality, instant gratification, the I deserve to be in that position because I’ve been punching a clock for twenty-six years here ideology to which I’m referring.
I don’t have a boss, by the way. I’m a writer.
