There really has been support at about 44%, not that that is good, mind you. But it has held several challenges, so: if it falls suddenly below that, it will indicate a major change in sentiment, and further drops below that can be expected. At that point we may be looking at an unstable regime that will be unpredictable in its lashing out response.
If his support fails we are in definite hot water, and the "buy gold" guys will look less like cranks than prophets.
