I don’t give a **** about Leon Trotsky, but this was in evidence by Stalin’s treatment of him until he was axe murdered by a KGB agent in Mexico. A former Bolshevik “bud”, once Stalin viewed him as a rival, Trotsky was publicly and inccessantly accused of every possible idiotic plot, evil motive, personality defect, amoral behavior, conspiracy with terrorists; in short, he was everything that Stalin himself had been. Its called “projection”, whereby the accuser projects all the faults of which they are personally responsible on another person so it diverts the attention from the accuser while at the same time villifying the accused. The left media in the US (the major networks, Washington Post, NY Times, MSNBC) all are guilty of it; they would have fit right in in Stalin’s Russia.
Kind of resembles what is going on with this supposed “Extremist Christian Militia” which is certainly diverting attention away from terrorism trials, Guantanamo, Fort Hood, the Fruit of Kaboom Bomber, etc, etc, &c, &c, &c....
